ArchStudio Standards for Release
We want to maintain and improve the product quality of ArchStudio by ensuring a series of high-quality releases. To do this, we have a set of Quality Assurance Tests and have adopted Subversion's "Sandbox" model (TODO: reference needed). In this model, there is a "soaking" period before a release where things are moved from trunk to a stable branch, then anything that isn't ready for release is excised out of the stable branch. Instructions for checking out the "stable" branch and for building releases can be found on the Release Procedure page.
The ArchStudio release manager is Kari A. Nies.
Quality Assurance Tests
ArchStudio releases should minimally pass the following quality assurance tests:
- A release must be able to run ArchStudio itself.
- A release must be able to run the Lunar Lander (TODO: link needed) demo
- A release must be compatible with the ArchStudio Video Tutorials.
Target Release Dates
The following release dates minimize conflicts with conference deadlines, finals, etc., but do not represent guaranteed release dates.
- Feb 1
- May 1
- Aug 1
- Nov 1
